ooh la la... wonder la... ooh la la.. wonder la...

what more could you expect from life.....!!!!

weekend.... wonder la and ... above all... wonder la.. with few of my best pals...(we...the tripod...)

it's like.... the best weekend.... i ever had...

what do u say when somebody... pays 600 bucks.... to get into rides where u... are held hanging uspide down... where u ... are twisted in every other direction.... and where... u are thrown.. down a vertical passage into the pool of water...

u may call it crazy... i, we call it fun... and jus not fun... it's more than fun( if something like that really exists)

the day... i mean yesterday... started off by the journey to the "wonder" la... ( it's actually the biggest amusement park. .. in india... or atleast they claim so...!!!!)

the first half of the day... was spent all screaming.. getting nailed...(or rather getiing high... by screaming loud) by enjoying the dry rides...

maverick providing the perfect start.... and Y scream ... like icing on the cake... (to be frank with u folks...i cudnt stop myself from getting scared... i was feeling nauseous... after the first two rides... so i took two to three rides.. off... which my hooligan friends ,,, described to be awesome experiences... but then had my body twisted in the twister and crashed many a car in crazy cars!!!

then the other half of the day... was when we were all wet and rolling... jumping and dancing...

the weavy and vertciall jumps..... the crazy lazy river... the halo formation and crazy exercises in the wave pool... and the bizarre dance steps.. in the rain disco...

and those hot chicks all around... oh!!!!! god... don ask...

And like a perfect ending to the roller coaster ride... it was musical fountain show followed by a laser show...

Every muscle and every bone in my body aches like hell.. now... but i feel like a masochist now...

like the Mcdonald's......"i am loving it(the pain)..."

if only i had better eye sight... i would have got a good view of wonder la... (unfortunately i was restricted from carrying specs wid me... )... but no regrets.....

Ooh la la ... wonder la....

I made another mistake...

Yes folks... another mistake...

in fact few of my mates who made the mistake of watching "the shootout at lokhandwala" were my companions in "that" another mistake....

that was some day... after a tiring day of work... .. ehmm.......err... i mean for my friends... (not for me)

when we decided to go to the Garuda.. to just chill out.. and when the crazy idea of going to a movie sprouted in our minds..... and the rest was a blunder....

We went to the inox to see which movies were screened and "somebody" came up with name "Shoot'em up"... ( i still wonder why nobody thought that it sounded like the earlier shootout movie... sadly... we were carried away by the paradox that most english movies actually are ... i would say ok)

So... till the movie started ... i was expecting a cowboy story.. like the quick and the dead... but... my guess was nowhere near reality...

and i wudnt want to take the pain to write abt the pain i took to watch the movie...(though i managed to fall asleep...midway)...

Just wanted to warn u folks... not to watch the movie......

bang...bang...bang...bang...bang...bang!!!!!

take a bow yuvraj...take a bow...!!!

in history he was the prey..... but today he emerges out as a big hunter...!!!!

six sixes in a row.... sounded like this from the words of the commentators....

bang...bang...bang...bang...bang...bang!!!

this is how it started ....

stuart broad was the victim.... he was bowling the 19th over of the innings.... and

first ball: bang!!! straight over the long on...massive six... (105 m)he might have thought that he had the biggest six of the tournament but who cares.... it got the runs it needed to...

second ball: bang!!! just a flick of his legs and gone for a six... shortest of all these sixes...

third ball: bang!!! moves to his right and way she goes over the extra cover.... the sound of the timber was melodious.... that's yuvraj style....

fourth ball: bang!!! moves to the right again and steers it over backward point.... my goodness.... i thought only sehwag could do that.... now it's yuvraj...

fifth ball: bang!!! yuvraj sits on his knees and bludgeons it over the midwicket... and the ball just sails over the fence... poor ball... must have some pain... if it were alive...

sixth ball: bang!!! yuvi looks at mascrenhas and remembers the day... when he was ripped apart by those 5 consecutive sixes... and as broad approaches wid the ball in his hands... yuvraj waits for his moment and off she goes again... this time over mid on... handsomely executed....

thats it... yuvraj is a hero for india... sets a new record ....never in the history of cricket has it been done in the international format....

both the captains at the end of the game ...accept that..this over..made the difference...india won by 18 runs eventually... and keeps alive the hopes of it reaching the semifinals of the first ever t-20 cricket world cup...

A good beginning is half done...."only half done"...

"forget greatness, for it eludes the most talented. It is the ability of a player to convert every single drop of potential into performance that makes him a better player..."

it looks like good statement...doesn't it.... ??... read that from the last week sportstar weekly...

but i wonder why.... indian cricketers never realised this... do they feel that ... they have been there and done that... when they won the test series....??

It would be a cliche to say that... indian players are sloppy in the field... but would it be the same... i mean shud it be the same... wid new forms of the game ... being brought in to the system...??.....

the commentators say that india has a batting line up formidable than most better teams in the world...

three of the top four batsmen in the order ..have put together 35,000+ runs.... isn't it wonderful on paper...but games or not won on paper ... they are won on this ring kind of thing with 11 players grappling every single moment to show their potential....

The last match between india and england.. once again shows....how poor finishers...indians are...
i remember a tour against sri lanka... when india lost almost all the matches... having had a great start.... this shows how complacent we are...

because we believe... that the opposition batting line up is merely 6-7 players... and the rest are trivial... we seldom see ..these so-thought "trivial" players do more than bad in any odi...
forget bad... they have done quite good... and why does this happen...??

A question to brood over....!!!!

escape velocity

u blokes must have heard about... or read about the escape velocity of a body .....

if u haven't.......... here is a brief intro....

it is the velocity with which a body is to be projected such that the body escapes out of the gravitational field of the earth...( i think this is how i remember it... if there is any mistake pls bear wid me... banda physics mein weak hein)...

i have been reading this book by mr. mani bhaumik... called the "CODE NAME GOD"... which talks about the spiritual journey of a scientist.

he says that every man/woman has a black hole... or a kind of magnetic field which drags u back to the abyss. ... and prevents u from doing something.....even light cant escape from it...

but he then says that ...perseverance....and luck..... do propell u wid that "escape velocity" that helps u get out of that black hole...

the author makes great sense of the mass-energy equivalence stated by Einstein ( or the famous e=m*c*c)....

for every other scientist it's an equation wid great importance in the preparation of a nuclear bomb..or blah blah....

but for him... it turns out be this way...

" religion without science is blind.....and science without religion is lame..."

for me the book really did mean nothing untill i reached the second half of the book... but now i am extracting some sense out of it...

ok ...ok.. enuf of that book... coming bac to the escape velocity....

i can correlate myself... to it... atleast now... may be wgl is like a black hole...and i am dragged back to it... even after graduating...five months back....

hope i get that luck ... that gives that escape velocity to spew me out of this black hole....

abysmal....

argh...!!!!... what a way to lose an odi after an emphatic win in the test series....

yesterday's game sure showed us what india lacked....in many fields... their performance was abysmal.(compared to their earlier performances)

the so called "youthful and young" team struggled to prevent england from being so mobile between the wickets... and what not..... like adding insult to injury.... three runouts...

god save india...!!!... they were ambling on the field... in between the wickets... atleast in the modern era of the game ...it is blasphemous...

earlier in the game... ian chappel was commenting on the england's skipper's dubious decision of sending in ian bell at 3rd......rather than kevin or freddy..

but bell lived to upto his captain's expectations and delivered well... though england wud have made 300+ if kevin or freddy was sent in ... (in case they played well)... it wud have hardly mattered.... because.. india really cracked under pressure...

so it was a game ... errr... a lesson for india.....

in my opinion...they also goofed it up... by sending the players in order after saurav was out... i wud have preferred the jubiliant karthik to be sent in ...first rather ...than any other...

poor chap was sent in when india needed so many runs on the board... still he did his part...

i wud love to see him promoted up the order for the rest of the odi's .... atleast....

Hope india comes up with a good performance in the coming odi's.....

come on india.!!!!!!!.. u are a better team...than this...

Chak de! india... Chak de!....

finally....

It's another gift to the indian fans... on the eve of the independence day.... (literally india won independence from the english... 60 years ago .... and they have done something similar here in england today)

finally india register a victory on the English soil.... after 21 yrs.... their hard work and toil was well paid....

Though india could have made this certain victory more memorable by winning the 3rd test match.. it is quite good to have a trophy with u.... at the end of the series....

the series was memorable for many players.... zaheer... (man of the series)..with 18 wickets .... rp singh and sreeshanth.... taking enuf wickets to prove their proficiency....

the top order...the nawab (wasim jaffer) and karthik....came out with flying colors.... and the middle order did their work too... with some good knocks....

at the end of the day... no one had a complaint that they missed out a part in this victory....

what is more commendable is that, india won a test series abroad with out a full-time coach .... and moreover...india looked like a complete team in this series....

good luck india .......for the one- dayers.... and hearty congratulations to every indian fan out there....

chak de....

chak de ! india....

great movie dudes....!!!! a movie worth watching by every indian..... a great gift to all the indians on the eve of 60 years of their independence.....

sharukh's acting was exemplary....

a right blend of patriotism...plot and comedy.... a right message to all those who show a blind eye to the national sport..... an unprecedented way of expressing the need to unite....

that the country is above all states...above all relations.... and above all people.....

a movie that involves every indian... in the game.... makes you feel that u are in every stadium to watch the game....

what are u folks waiting for .... go watch the movie... and be proud to be an indian....

kumble at his best

consummate veteran...

what a performance by india... on the field today.... It's surely heyday for them....

Sachin, dhoni, sreeshanth..everybody played brilliantly with the bat... but... the man of the day....

the patient old man.... kumble... with his maiden cricket century...

Take a bow master... take a bow....

when u look at a 36 yr old player... who has got nothing to prove to the world... that he is a phenomenal player.... playing so welll ...at the centre... scoring runs at ease.... or even better than any top order batsmen... u should say that's something really commendable......

Had kumble.... not hit the century... india wud... have made record with the highest score ever without a century .... but.... what joy has it brought to the indian team... and all the cricket loving fans........ GMT+5:30 hours away ....here in india..... and y not.... it's the veteran master's best knock ever.... and at a ground like oval....

it's dream come true for evry one.....

english players know... thats it's a sesiphilian task to square the series.....or even try to save this match... from running away under their feet.......but....

we have a match on.....

the next best part of this match is that... we have seen more of the work done by the balll and the bat..... no one exercised their right of speech..... i reckon the referees must be pretty happy abt that...

kudos... kumble.... kudos india.....

wake me up when september ends.....

i was listening to this song by green day...

"Wake me up when September ends...".... and suddenly i realized how...it suited my position.....

Days are really hard to pass by...

The clock.....

It began to stare at me... as i did the same... it refuses to move.... (move fast)...

I wonder how funny it is... It doesn't move when we want it to... looks like it is slower than the
snail....

and when we want time to be on our side... the clock literally changes by the second

as i wait here...on the other side of the court... where the grass is dry and sick...

for october to come... when i will start a new life....

that's why i want to sleep.... sleep long.... and if somebody wants to wake me up....

wake me up when september ends......

nostalgia

playing fifa 07 on my pc for long hours... have affected my eyes.... and i had to take rest to soothe my eyes... so jus when i was relaxing on my couch... today in the morning... i remembered a funny
incident that happened during our last semester in the college....

venue: civil seminar hall, NIT warangal.
date: dont even remember!!! after having such a goddamn long vacation..... (may be in feb 2007)

It was macho's class ( our lecturer... ) and we, me and ...muddu (my partner in the classroom pranks) were chatting with our front bench, side bench friends, as usual... and mr. macho was busy giving his vague fundae to the class...( i mean the first benchers...bcos they are the ones who listened to his boring class).....and macho observed us doing so....

even we did observe him looking at us.. but we cared a damn... we went on disturbing everybody around.... and suddenly he shouted at somebody in the middle benches and asked him to leave the class immediately....

Macho was so frustrated on us.... but he could not vent his anger on us... bcos we ( me and muddu) were kinda.... his fav students...

so eventually some middle bench bakra... had to pay the price for us... felt really sorry for him....

it was really hillarious......
.
.
.
.
.
.

and now as i open my eyes... i feel sad ...'coz ..... those days are past... and will never come back.... everybody jus says that ... life has to move on... so easily....

but deep down... every body misses those days... every single folk... knows that those days wont be back again...

only thing one can do... is to recollect memories and feel better....

I still cant feel better.... after putting down in words... my feelings... my memories...

I am still nostalgic..............

apologies.....

in the below...posted blog... i mistook the appearance of jelly beans on the crease.... i thought that jelly beans were thrown on zaheer....

it hardly matters bcoz... zaheer was spurred because.. of the appearance of jelly beans.... and moreover.... india won... so who cares.... :)

Tuesday, July 31, 2007

jelly beans on zaheer...??? (england's way of sledging!!!)

it was a funny event...that happened in the last test against england.....

zaheer came to bat at some 400 odd for 6 in the first innings.... and he was attacked by jelly beans....

jelly beans... huh??.... did they get no better item than that..poor chaps...

he din mind though....when it first hit him... but they were coming again... ( no one knew from where)...

zaheer...who is usually known for his short temper in the dressing room had to have a nice little chat (:P) with peitersen and alisatiar cook.... on the ground... who might have been the pranksters

thank the english... may be because of this foolish behaviour... did... zaheer charge... and hit the nails to the english coffin.....

thank you.... england...... kudos ..... zaheer... kudos india.... (we won!!!!)

VACATION SUX... BIG TIME...

date: april 26th 2007....
venue: NIT warangal.

This day happens to be one of the dates i will remember ....

the day when i completed the so called last examination in undergraduate level.....

four years of hardship ....err.... four years of time pass....in the college...which had..
  • assignments... which were always copied from the topper
  • long boring classes .... which we seldom attended... and even if we did... spent time talking to the front bench friends... or day-dreaming.....
  • exams .... one-day batting hardly for 6 hrs/exam .....
  • parties and fun... which never ended.....
and after all this came the VACATION.....

the worst part was that i was a day scholar..... and when vacation came... every body left for their home.... and i was left all alone.....

few friends who were left in this place fled to their destination..... par mera number nahi aaya....
i had to wait.... and i have been waiting since then..... since april 26th.... till date..... and the wait will go on.... till ..... cotober 8th.... when i finally will reach my destination.....

mummy.... mera number kab aayega.....

no wonder i am getting bored.... now i am finding new ways to kill time.... and thats how i started blogging.... to end my sagging boredom....

"CAT"harsis

Some times its pretty odd... when people have to do things again and again....

i know how it feels to be there.. like some one or some team has reached the semifinal of a

tournament without a defeat and have lost in the final by big margin...

like getting out at 99 in a cricket macth... and starting all over to get another ton...

like a goal keeper getting all clean sheets till the semi final and giving away 10 goals in the final
match ( then the commentators would say.. " if he was a bank.. it wud be closed by now.. the savings he is offering are terrible...")

like receiving kudos ... all time and then eventually ending up no where..... people dont like to talk about them.. they become history in a matter of days...

and its all over..

For them the toughest thing is to start over all again...

Been there ... done that... some one here knows how it is.... and i pity all those poor souls ... who are alike... unknown...unsaid... all over the world... feeling restless... feeling down all the time... unable to express their feelings to people...

After the defeat....people just can say that.... they should undergo the "'CAT'HARSIS" or the "purgation" ......

I am just on the verge of doing that.....

starting all over again...

the much awaited....

probably a bad day for all those people..... who would have made a fortune betting, of who would win the fierce battle between the arch rivals... india and pakistan......

.....and even worse for those home fans who made lame excuses at their offices to go all the way to ireland to watch the match.... rain god wasn't very generous on them... ( all they can do is to get satisfied by having a nice tour of england and ireland )....

My daily routine became even more monotonous because of that..... all day long i was playing fifa'07... helping my arsenal manager get kudos....( and i can't stop winning.. :) )

blah blah blah.....

after a long time... i remember that i own a blog.... and jus to fill up the space over here ... i am posting this.....

blah..... blah.... blah.....

the first thing that comes to my mind is cricket.... day b4 yday.... i saw sachin getting out cheaply.... (once again).... i wonder when was the last time i enjoyed a knock from him....

he had that grace.... u know... one would have loved to watch him bat.... but nowadays... you rarely get that oppurtunity......

I made that word "grace" bold because.... i remember one mr. W.G. Grace... who is supposed to be the god of cricket then.... my senior told me that he was so much admired that... when he was out... audience would not allow him to walk away.... (its true folks...)

i just read an incident dating long back to those days of inception of one day cricket... (from sportstar)

W.G.grace got out and was standing at the crease when the umpire came to him....

his reply was.... " they ( audience) came to watch me bat... not to see you umpire..."....

that was one bold reply.....

Shootout at .......

Yesterday... i saw a movie called shoot out at lokhandwala.... It was aweful..... no one was upto the expectation in the movie... the director made a mess of the star crew....

when big names appear on the silver screen....like sanjay dutt, sunil shetty, abhishek bachan, .....and above all the 'big B'....AMITHAB BACHAN...., you expect a good movie....(at the end of the day that is what counts....you need your money's worth...)

To start with... i dont know why abhishek was given such a small role....... a police officer who gets killed by the terrorists too cheaply..... his role in the movie wasfor about 5 minutes....

The movie had high amounts of violence..... vulgarity was even higher.... 'censor board at its best.....'

The second half was for around one hour.... and all that the director could show was an encounter designed to kill 5 mafia dons ( this included vivek oberoi... and tushar kapoor) by a crew of more than .... say 2-3 hundred police men ..... all throughout the second half....

The background score was even worse..... not even a single song that can be rated above average.....

Few dialogues were good ....

My friend said to me before i entered the hall that some site gave a rating of 1 1/2 star to it....

The movie lived upto it....

At the end of the show i could say... that i bought some five hours of head ache for just 35 bucks..... "Shootout at lokhandwala"..... or ... "shooutout in my head"

memories play.....

"Sometimes you feel better when you don't try to recollect the best times you had....."

and it hurts real bad... when you know that those moments won't come back ever again.... in your life....

This happened to me today.... i had a small get to with my friends today at my fav hang out place CITY GRAND.....

This treat reminded me of all the fun that we had.... in the last few days of the college...... It is hard to digest the fact that the college days are over all of a sudden...

Didnt even knew .... when that happened.... four yrs ... never seemed like more than four weeks..... and boy !!!!..... now i am a graduate.....

Life is so placid after the last day of the college...

in a few days ... everybody will leave this place(warangal)..... (few have already left and have caused great pain to me)..... and so shall i.... but i will not be alone when i will be away... i will have memories with me.... sweet yet painful.... just to remind me that those beautiful moments are over... college life is over....

started blogging......

This is the beginning ..... of new phase in my life....

i have started to blog... and this is my first post....

donno what to start with.... hmmmmmm.....

lemme give you a nice quote.... which i have read recently....

Diamond is just another coal which did well under pressure..... :)
