Come back kids…

It is amazing how there are so many people in the Indian team who have done extra ordinarily ordinary in the past and have come back blazing guns. Take for example the very first over of the 2003 world cup bowled by zaheer khan( who would not forget that… in fact i think.. everybody will not forget to forget that over) and the quintessential performance/come back in england in 2007. What more his is now the spearhead of the indian bowling attack. Nehra who has been almost out of the bowling arena for 2 years has become the second best paceman for india today. Wonder how much change a break brings in a cricket player. Gauti again is another example of a great come back. A guy, who had a penchant to mock the off side balls to the hands of the slip fielders, to the world’s number 1 test player, amazing transformation ain’t it.

Now, the incident that pulled me to write about the event is the amazing innings by suresh raina in the match against South africa in icc world t20 today. Few years back he was called the guy who could not adapt to the foreign pitch conditions and an only sub-continent player. A guy who failed awefully in the west indies tour in 2007 came out to score a hundred in just 60 balls. Amazing … I am just awed by the transformation of these comeback kids…

Waiting for more … what’s in store for us… ????

Avatar… at last …

Yes it is 2 am in the morning and i am writing this blog to tell u all how amazed i am after seeing the first 3D movie in my life.

I was awestruck by the new world created by James Cameroon’s in Avatar. The movie was not a very great movie as far as the story is concerned, but the direction was exemplary. The hanging mountains, the flying birds, the hounds, the mystical flora and fauna was all like a beautiful painting coming into life before you. I was most impressed by the colours that filled the screen.

The movie had its share of lighter moments and the action sequences were brilliant too. The 3D effects had let me down though. (I was more enthralled by the 3D ad of the upcoming movie, the Sea monsters.)

Avatar aside, windows live writer is really coming handy. More blogs from my side to bore you people then….

Good night…Ciao

How Hashim amla made a big impression on me.. :)

Hashim amla, without any doubt was the best player in the series including the tests and the one days. His perseverance was unparalleled, his technique unmatched. This was the first time I saw some foreign player play with such authority on the subcontinent soil.

His 253 in the first test was a master piece. I could see another rahul dravid in him. Few of my iit friends would call him the maggu, the 9 pointer types. I wonder if there is any other player who has won all the man of the match awards in a test series including the man of the series.

Like any other Indian fan, i just despised his patience, and was watching when he would throw his wicket away in each innings.

Anyway, it is not the stupendous effort he put in scoring 500 odd runs in the test series that made a big impression on me. It was that trivial thing, that no-attention-effort that made him a hero for me.

Yes, all who know about me, know what i am talking about. That dive, that extra effort that he put to save the boundary of a savage hit from Kaptaan saab Dhoni, which brought Sachin on strike and the rest is history as everybody knows…

What was on the back  of Dhoni’s mind is still an enigma to me. Two straight overs where he took a single of the last delivery made me so burn with anger that i felt somebody would have killed him if sachin da could not have completed his 200.

Keeping apart Dhoni’s inane actions, i feel every sachin fan would have the same feelings as me for the great Hashim amla.

Sachin pa and Hashim amla…

Jahapanaon tussi great ho…

Our Deepest fear ...Marrianne williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
